Last Updated: 6/29/2010 2:34:06 PM

Take Advantage of Early Registration Rate for Oct. 23-30 Course

Registration for the 68th DAN® Diving and Hyperbaric Medicine Course is now open. The Oct. 23-30, 2010, program will be held at Presidente Intercontinental Cozumel. The six-day course is designed primarily for physicians, emergency medical personnel, paramedics and nurses, but instructors, divemasters and other non-medical, diving-related personnel with an interest in diving medicine will also find the course valuable.

The goals of the course are to provide the facts relevant to the prevention and management of dive accidents and the practice of diving medicine. The program includes lectures, case presentations and printed support materials as well as both formal and informal discussion sessions with faculty.

An exclusive package has been assembled for course participants that includes lodging, meals and diving; full access to the Mandara Spa steam, shower and Jacuzzi facilities; 10 percent off Mandara Spa treatments; and complimentary wireless Internet in guest rooms. The resort also has an on-site children’s club, putting green, tennis courts and a 24-hour fitness center. Presidente InterContinental Cozumel Resort and Spa is set on one-half mile of white, sandy beach surrounded by natural vegetation. The ocean-view rooms reserved for this event look out upon the Caribbean Sea.

The course fee is $650 until Sept. 15, 2010, and increases to $750 after that. The course fee for individuals not booking the exclusive DAN-Presidente Intercontinental package will be $850.
